The first hawthorn burst into leaf before the end of the month, and the daffodils into flower, ready for a cheerful St David&#8217;s day.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/tyddynadda.co.uk\/images\/diary_feb08_2.jpg\" alt=\"Daffodils\" style=\"float:right;padding:25px 0px 5px 5px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The chickens have finally come into lay and we enjoyed our own fresh eggs in pancakes on Shrove Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>We have sold 17 of our breeding ewes to another local organic farmer, and they are still grazing here at Tyddyn Adda. They have all been scanned, and will be moved before lambing.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/tyddynadda.co.uk\/images\/diary_feb08.jpg\" alt=\"Winter Sunrise from Tyddyn Adda\" title=\"Winter Sunrise from Tyddyn Adda\" \/><\/p>\n<p>During a dry, frosty period we called in a contractor and old friend to open up tracks and clear brambles at our second patch of land &#8211; Ty&#8217;n y Coed.
